Licensing

For Open Value subscription (OVS), Open Value company-wide, Enterprise Agreements (EA) or Enterprise Agreement Subscription (EAS), there is an “All Languages” option that entitles the company to deploy the Microsoft Office Multi-Language Pack 2007 on every desktop in the organization. Under this kind of volume licensing agreement the end customer is not b

uying Office Multi-Language Pack 2007 licenses, but through the Office Multi-Language Pack 2007 has the right to deploy all languages.

If the customer only needs a certain number of desktops to use the Office Multi-Language Pack 2007, they can acquire the number of Office Multi-Language Pack 2007 licenses they need under a Open License or a Select License Agreement.

If the customer only needs the proofing tools but not the UI capabilities, they have the option of only installing the proofing tools on the desktop – the Office Multi-Language Pack 2007 technology enables that capability. However, UI and proofing tools do come as

one product and cannot be acquired separately.

Migration Paths

Customers are entitled to new versions of Office products if their Software Assurance coverage was active when the product became available. The table below describes the upgrade paths between Office 2003 Multilanguage products and Office 2007 products.

Paint Shop Pro (PSP) is a bitmap graphics editor and vector graphics editor for computers running the Microsoft Windows operating system that was originally published by Minneapolis-based Jasc Software. In October 2004, Corel Corporation purchased Jasc Software, and with it, the distribution rights to Paint Shop Pro.

Originally called simply Paint Shop, the first version, 1.0, was released in early 1992. Paint Shop was originally distributed as shareware and is still available at many download sites (4.12 being a popular version), newer versions are only available commercially — a key competitor is Adobe Photoshop, the commercial market leader in this category. Photoshop’s popularity is in part because Photoshop is available in an Apple Macintosh version, the platform widely used in the print publication industry, whereas Paint Shop Pro only supports Microsoft platforms.

Paint Shop Pro supports natively both raster and vector graphics, whereas Photoshop only supports importation of vector graphics from Adobe Illustrator without direct built-in editing tools.

PSP functionality can be extended by Photoshop-compatible plugins. They are listed in the 'Effects' menu, below the built-in effects.
